CLEANSING & CHARGING CRYSTALS

 

 

Crystals have the ability absorb and hold unique energies, both positive and negative. So it's important to cleanse and charge them often. Here at Lunar Alchemy we believe the moon and it's cycle holds  tremendous power and influence on life here on Earth.

 

The Full Moon is the perfect time to cleanse your crystals.

Below is a very basic how-to, when it comes to cleansing your crystals with the Full Moon.

 

1. Collect your crystals and take them outside in the moonlight and lay them out. They should be placed on the earth or a natural surface. Crystals like to be earthed or grounded, just like our bodies do. If you don't have access to some earth or lawn to place them on, you can also just place them on a windowsill or on a natural surface like a wooden plate, on a balcony. The important part is that they are in the moonlight.
2. Leave your crystals out overnight and collect them in the morning.  If it's not safe or possible for you to leave your crystals out all night, that's OK. Just leave them out for as long as possible.
3. It's important to charge your crystals with your intentions. What would you like your crystals to support you in? What would you like to manifest into your life? Is there anything in your life at the present moment that you would like help working through? 
4. The final step is to hold gratitude. It's important to express your gratitude to Universal Energy or whatever your higher power may be. 



Just as important as cleansing, It’s also important to charge your crystals occasionally as it helps to really amp up their vibrational energy.
The best way to know if they need charging is to hold them and see how they feel, you should be able to feel their energy. If not, they may need to be charged.
Listed below are two ways you can charge your crystals!

1. Charging your crystals in the moonlight of a New Moon will energise them and set them up with their new purpose. Simply place them in a safe spot outside or by your window during a New Moon.

2. Sunlight! The sun gives off a masculine energy and this helps to energise and program crystals.
Leave them from sunrise to sunset in a safe place outside or by a window to absorb the suns rays.
