NODAL INGRESS INTO ARIES X LIBRA 18th JULY 2023 AEST

The Lunar Nodes, also known as the North Node and South Node, are two points of astrological significance in the sky. They are not physical celestial bodies, but rather, they are mathematical points that are calculated based on the intersection of two orbits: the Moon's orbit around the Earth and the Earth's orbit around the Sun. This intersection forms an axis, with the North Node and South Node at opposite ends.

In astrology, the Lunar Nodes are considered to hold great importance in understanding the soul's journey over multiple lifetimes. The North Node is seen as a compass pointing towards growth, representing qualities we need to develop, lessons to learn, and areas of life where we're being called to evolve.
The South Node, on the other hand, is associated with our past, embodying skills, traits, and experiences we've carried over from past lifetimes, and which we may need to balance or move beyond to facilitate our soul's growth. Together, the Lunar Nodes provide a roadmap for personal and spiritual evolution.

The Lunar Nodes move in a retrograde motion, which means they move backward through the zodiac. Approximately every 18.6 months, they shift into a new pair of opposing zodiac signs. This transition, known as a nodal shift or ingress, is a time of significant change as it denotes a shift in the collective lessons we're meant to learn and areas in our life where we need to evolve. Understanding these transitions can provide insight into the ebb and flow of personal and collective growth journeys.
WHAT TO EXPECT WITH THIS NODAL SHIFT?

The Nodal shift from Scorpio/Taurus to Libra/Aries can be seen as a call to balance the energies of self and other, independence and partnership. The South Node in Libra invites us to examine past tendencies towards over-accommodation, over-compromise, or loss of self in relationships, whereas the North Node in Aries encourages us to claim our individuality, to assert our needs and our right to be.

This is indeed a time to strike a balance between self-assertion and cooperation, individuality and partnership. We're called to engage with the energies of both nodes, recognising the lessons from our past (South Node) and using them to grow towards our future (North Node).

This Nodal Shift invites us to walk a middle path, one that balances Libra's diplomacy and desire for harmony with Aries' courage, assertiveness and willingness to stand alone when necessary. The next 18 months is time to question old patterns, assert our individual needs, and create more equitable and balanced partnerships. This is indeed a time of balancing the scales, standing our ground, and learning to meet others halfway.

Determining the houses in which the transiting nodes are moving into on your personal chart can be vital because houses represent different life areas. When nodes shift into a new house, those life themes become prominent, highlighting areas for focus and growth. Knowing this allows for proactive engagement with these changes and a clearer understanding of where development may occur in your life journey.

(I've uploaded a video on Instagram with a tutorial on how to check this on your chart!)
